YOOcalendar Frequently Asked Questions
YOOcalendar keeps working, including your calendars and RSVP forms. Your events and attendee records stay on your site. You stop receiving updates and email support until you renew.
Yes. YOOcalendar is $49/year, or you can get the full plugin bundle for $99/year. Both cover unlimited sites, including client sites, with one year of updates and email support. The bundle includes every paid plugin, plus new plugins released while your subscription is active.
The calendar and RSVP files load from your own website. If you turn on location maps, those maps load from Google. Your server also contacts YOOfoundry for license validation and update checks.
No. YOOcalendar does not import calendar feeds or provide a subscription URL. Visitors can download individual events as .ics files using Add to Calendar in the event tooltip or details popup.
Events saved in wp-admin do not appear automatically. Add a Calendar element and leave one Calendar Event inside it to use as a template.
Open that event’s Advanced tab, choose Custom Calendar Events as its dynamic source, and map the title, dates, times and other fields. YOOcalendar’s event fields appear by name in the picker.
No. Even with Ends set to Never, repeats cover roughly one year from the event’s start date. You can also choose an end date or an occurrence count.
You cannot edit or skip individual dates in a repeating series. Create separate events when individual dates need different details.
No. An event set for 10:00 shows as 10:00 for every visitor. The Add to Calendar download uses the same time.
For online events or an audience in different timezones, include the intended timezone in the event description.
Yes, through YOOtheme Pro’s dynamic content controls. You can map supported ACF fields to your Calendar Event fields. ACF is optional; you do not need it to use YOOcalendar.
Yes. Create and publish an event in wp-admin, enable RSVP for it, and add the Event RSVP element to its page or template. Events entered only in the Calendar element cannot collect RSVPs.
You can set capacity and guest limits, view attendees, export a CSV and record check-in. Visitors see a confirmation message on the page. YOOcalendar does not send confirmation emails, reminders or take payments.
WordPress 6.1 or later, PHP 8.0 or later, and YOOtheme Pro 5.0 or later. YOOtheme Pro must be active as your theme or the parent of your child theme. No other plugins are required.
RSVP also needs MySQL or MariaDB with database locking support. Your host can confirm this.
